Raising Royalty: Mojave Elks Lodge Celebrates Queens Who Lead with Heart, Talent, and Service
In every town, there are young leaders who shine brightly—not just for their beauty or talent, but for their dedication to service, kindness, and community spirit. In Mojave, those young leaders wear crowns and sashes, not just as symbols of pageantry, but as emblems of responsibility and inspiration.
Today, the Mojave Elks Lodge #2059 had the great honor of recognizing the outgoing Mojave Queens for 2024–2025, young ladies who have spent the past year serving their town with grace, poise, and purpose. These Queens have represented Mojave in parades, fundraisers, holiday events, and civic gatherings—making a lasting impact with every smile, every speech, and every act of kindness.
Honored today were:
- Tiny Miss Mojave 2024 – Dalilah Darragh
- Little Miss Mojave 2024 – Princess Levi
- Junior Miss Mojave 2024 – Caylee Cook
Each of these young ambassadors was presented with a certificate from Mojave Elks Lodge, recognizing not only their titles but their commitment to community involvement throughout their reign.
Pictured here is Junior Miss Mojave 2024, Caylee Cook, who has a deeply rooted connection to the Lodge. She is the granddaughter of Mojave Lodge #2059’s dedicated Secretary and Treasurer, Ted and Cindy Hodgkinson, and the niece of our current Exalted Ruler (and Past Exalted Ruler), Joe Hodgkinson and her mom Veronica Hodgkinson-Cook who is also a member of the lodge. Her success as Junior Miss is a proud reflection of the values upheld by her family and the Elks Lodge community.
Each of the young ladies were also presented with a check from the Mojave Chamber of Commerce, highlighting the importance of collaboration between local organizations in supporting the development of our future leaders.
Being crowned as a Queen is not just about winning a title—it’s about rising to the occasion and becoming a role model. Throughout their reign, the Mojave Queens have participated in numerous community activities, including:
- Serving food at community fundraisers and veterans’ events
- Attending civic ceremonies, parades, and holiday celebrations
- Reading to younger children at local libraries and schools
- Volunteering at food drives and community clean-up days
- Helping with awareness campaigns and charity events
These experiences give the Queens valuable life lessons in leadership, compassion, and communication—qualities that serve them well into adulthood. They learn the power of showing up, the importance of giving back, and the joy of making others feel seen and valued.
The Mojave Elks Lodge takes great pride in supporting programs like the Mojave Queens Pageant because they align with our core values: charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity. These young leaders exemplify what it means to live a life of service—and they do it all with grace and enthusiasm.
We are especially proud when these young women are connected to our Elks family, as is the case with Caylee. Her journey reflects the strength of family legacy, mentorship, and community support—all key pillars of the Elks mission.
As the 2024–2025 Queens pass their crowns to a new group of inspiring girls, we look back with gratitude and pride. Their smiles have brightened our town, their actions have uplifted others, and their voices have carried messages of hope and unity.
To Dalilah, Princess Levi, and Caylee: thank you for representing Mojave with heart and honor. You are true Queens in every sense of the word, and we can’t wait to see where your journey leads next.
At Mojave Elks Lodge #2059, we will always be here to support and celebrate the youth of our community. Because when we invest in our young people, we invest in a brighter, more compassionate future for us all.
Long may these Queens reign in our hearts!
