When Sarah was still in the womb, her parents were told she had only a 4% chance of survival.

After she was born, Sarah spent the first six months of her life in intensive care. She faced extraordinary challenges affecting her movement, communication, development, and even the ability to eat on her own. The future was uncertain.

Today, Sarah is a smiling, engaging young lady who continues to achieve milestones that once seemed impossible. She is learning to communicate, build friendships, participate in activities, and experience life in ways her family once could only hope for.

Her journey is a testament to the unwavering love of her family, the dedication of remarkable therapists, and the support made possible through the California-Hawaii Elks Major Project.

Sarah isn’t just our 2026 Theme Child.

She is living proof that hope grows when people choose to care.

And Sarah is only one child.

Every day, children receive life-changing therapy through CHEMPI. Veterans receive support through the Elks National Foundation. Students discover opportunities through scholarships. Young people build confidence through Hoop Shoot, learn healthy choices through Drug Awareness, and communities are strengthened through countless grants and programs funded by ENF.

Children like Sarah don’t need hope once a year. They need it every month.

These aren’t simply programs. They are lives changed, futures restored, and one of the greatest expressions of what it means to be an Elk.

Consistent support of the Elks National Foundation helps ensure our Lodge continues meeting Grand Lodge per-capita requirements, making us eligible for the many grants and programs that directly benefit our Lodge and our community.

And when CHEMPI and ENF receive dependable monthly support, more of the funds we raise locally can remain focused on local priorities.

Our Good of the Order collections could be directed where the greatest good is needed.

More resources could remain available for Lodge improvements, youth activities, veterans programs, community projects, and helping those who need us most.

Recurring giving doesn’t replace fundraising.
